A Certified Canine Behavior Specialist and loving pet owner created Totally Dog® for dog lovers.
In 1999, Totally Dog® set a trend by offering the first true air conditioned school bus for dogs in what’s best known as our Doggie Bus™. We pick our canine campers up in the morning and drop them off in the afternoon.
The dogs actually sit on their bench with their heads at the windows looking forward to going to camp! On the way home, they rest comfortably on their bench wondering when they’ll be back.
With over five acres of land designed for the enjoyment of dogs, throughout the day our canine campers enjoy fun activities such as swimming, running, sunbathing, adventuring through the forest, playing with toys and with each other, and catching some daytime shut-eye in our shaded nap houses. And all of these activities are always supervised by our fun-loving, dedicated camp counselors!
Totally Dog® was created as a solution for loving and busy dog owners. They now have a chance to offer their pups full days of supervised exercise and socialization, reducing many behavioral problems developed from boredom.
However, our doors are open to all loving dog owners, even if they are not so busy, but who still want their dogs to reap the benefits and enjoyment of our doggie nirvana.
Totally Dog® is so much fun we’ve attracted all kinds of media attention over the years. We have been featured on The Today Show, NBC6 News, CNN, ABC News, Inside Edition, CNBC, Despierta America, Primer Impacto, The Miami Herald, Florida International Magazine, Jet Set Magazine, and many other TV and print stories.
About Our Founder
Elena began her canine training career in 1995 as a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the only entity at the time that offered ongoing continuing education in the field of humane dog training. As such, she endorses only reward based training.
She deployed with the team as a canine specialist in response to many disasters worldwide such as the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001, in New York City, the August 1999 search effort after an earthquake hit Turkey, the flooding in New Orleans caused by Katrina and many other disasters.
She was proud to serve her community as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for MDFR until 2013. She now serves the Homestead pediatric community as a Pediatric Physician Assistant.
